Hello! Yesterday I joined the Knit Wars, a thing that Lime and Violet started. Wow. I never thought that I would have so much fun organizing and going through my stash. I called Lindsey earlier and I was like, bring me my ball winder tomorrow so I can roll all of the yarn for the Booga Bag into little yarn cakes! I am loving this. I finished a scarf today. I don’t have a picture yet, I will try to get one tomorrow. I like it. I am going to knit a hat to match it and put it in Lindsey’s basket for Christmas. The yarn was six dollars a ball so I would feel guilty if I didn’t use it. I didn’t buy it, but still. After this hat/scarf set, I am going to finish Pop Pop’s orange scarf. I only have nine inches left in the rib, then I will do the cables, the last two inches of knitting, and be done with it!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!
I am so obsessed with Ravelry! I have taken pictures of my stash and I cleaned it out so I have only what I will really use. I am going to give the trash bag full of yarn to the Knit Witts to use. They will like it. I have gotten so into taking pictures of the projects that I have been working to post on Ravelry. Here a hat that I finished:
Doesn’t she look cute! I will post a picture of my Booga Bag tomorrow. After I finish Pop Pop’s scarf this week, I am going to work only on the baby blanket for Evan until that gets finished. After I finish that, I am going to finish my Booga Bag. I am halfway done with it. I have to knit the remaining 32 rows, then the icord. After that I will felt it, line it, and then have a new knitting bag/purse. I told Catherine that I would make her a blue and brown one. Of course, now Michaels does not carry wool yarn. I am hoping it is a seasonal thing, but if not I am going to have to convince my parents that I really do need the brown wool. I am going to knit the bag in plain blue wool then needle felt her name on it in brown and use brown fabric to line the bag.
This weekend we are going to my great aunt and uncle’s lake house. My aunt and uncle from South Carolina will be there with Mary Margaret and Phillip. I will take pictures to post! I am going to take the baby blanket with me to work on while I am there. We are going to go out in the boat and I am going to get to go on the inner tube!!! I can’t wait!
